Sometimes we’re not ready to change a behavior or a habit and we just need a safe space to be able to talk about it.
So all of that is part of therapy one-on-one. My face to face clients come for one hour long sessions.
Individual and Couples Local and visiting clients only
Telemedicine is an innovative way to receive psychotherapy and counseling services. What’s great about it is that people who live in remote locations, people with chronic pain or other illnesses, busy people or who are unable to come in for an hour face-to-face appointment, can access to telemental health, just through an app on their phone or through Skype.
Telemedicine allows for flexibility and to receive therapy from home, or wherever there is a wifi connection.
There are also various groups and webinars offered via secret Facebook groups or group Skype.
Some clients prefer text over face to face therapy since they have time to gather their thoughts and write about issues and feelings as they arise.
This option is typically used by clients who want intermittent support in between sessions or who have social anxiety or agoraphobia.
Additionally, text-based therapy benefits clients living out of the state with limited access.

The stresses that are so much a part of today’s world often find their way into families. They can cause discord between family members and cause couples to wonder if they should stay together. Having a safe place for each person involved to express themselves is a necessary part of getting back on track.
That is where face-to-face counseling can be the saving grace. Face-to-face therapy helps give individuals the communication skills necessary to convey concerns and the skills necessary to work through issues. Individuals who are willing to try will come away with a new understanding of the ones who share their home. This understanding, added to the new communication skills, can strengthen the bonds and keep everyone feeling they are an important element in whole picture.
Couples can find themselves at a place where every time they try to discuss something, it results in arguing, hurt feelings and emotional chaos. Each person may see that someone needs to change their behavior, but often they either don’t see it as their need or they simply don’t know how.
Entering into counseling, the couple will be able to express themselves freely, within a safe environment. A third party who is emotionally removed from their relationship will be able to give insight and provide direction for working through the disagreements and allowing the couple a greater chance of learning how to better deal with disagreements.
Families can find it harder to freely express discontent. Kids may be prevented from showing any “defiance” in regards to parents and parents may not know how to effectively handle either their own relationship with each other or deal with problems involving the kids.
When the family first arrives, the therapist will talk with each individually. This gives each family member a chance to honestly express their concerns without feeling judged. The family is then brought in together and the therapist acts as a mediator, giving everyone a chance to express their feelings and making sure the others fully understand what is being said. The family then works on finding ways to deal with issues in a manner that allows each member to feel important and respected.
Sometimes, a behavior pattern or issue is too entrenched for traditional talk therapy to access. In these situations, sacred healing methods cane instrumental in helping heal and clear such blockages from the psyche. Sacred therapy can be utilized in conjunction with more traditional psychotherapy methods and includes(but is not limited to) crystal and energy work along with guided meditation, imagery and breathwork.
Oftentimes people feel stuck or at an impasse in their healing due to trauma they experienced in their past lives. The notion that we are a spiritual or soulful being having a human experience may resonate with some of you.
If that is the case you may also be familiar with the concept that before we incarnate on this earth, we have a blueprint for our life. This blueprint is contained in what is called our akashic record-- which actually contains a record of our previous lifetime's blueprints as well. Accessing your Akashic Record; connecting with your spirit guides and or doing a past life meditation may be just the intervention that your soul needs in order to heal and move forward with actualizing your life's purpose.
Crystals have healing properties and when incorporated into a guided meditation/energy session can intensify one’s ability to heal old traumatic patterns by helping move the energy up and out of the physical body.
Mindfulness, Cognitive Restructuring, Positive Affirmations and Tapping can also be incorporated to further help shift the old patterns and accelerate healing and release.
A Crystal Healing session can be done in person or via Skype.
Catherine’s Guided Meditation sessions include the combination of breath work, music, and creative visualization along with crystals distance energy healing. Catherine creates unique and individualized meditations to focus on her clients’ specific needs.
The purpose of guided meditation is to clear out and heal maladaptive thinking and emotional patterns resulting from traumatic life experiences. Meditations typically conclude with positive affirmations or a positive vision for the clients future.
Guided Meditations can be done in person or remotely via Skype, other forms of live video or audio.
Catherine incorporate’s art, music and creative writing techniques into a client’s session. Creative therapies serve to activate the unconscious side of the brain which releases old, trapped emotions and belief systems along with memories. Doing creative therapies will help clients to better integrate their right and left brains and thus, be better able to live in and utilize their Wise Mind.
Typically patients enjoy art therapy to help with trauma reprocessing, chronic pain and somatic issues; inner child work, and to assist clients in rewriting the narratives of their lives. Includes drawing, painting, poetry and music.
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), involves utilizing a set of skills to help regulate mood, navigate difficult relationships, and create a greater sense of inner peace and relaxation. This is accomplished through learning to practice mindfulness — an ancient practice of learning to live in the present moment.
